Info

Winsor & Newton Drawing Inks have been used by illustrators since their introduction in the 1890's, where the main requirement was brilliance of color.

Today the range of 26 water-resistant colors is formulated from a series of high quality, soluble dyes in a superior shellac solution, with the exception of the white, black and gold which are made from pigments and are lightfast. These inks can be applied with brush, dip pen or airbrush and are widely used by designers, calligraphers and artists as well as illustrators.

Ink is a lovely colour and runs from the nib smoothly.

A calming purple that is a nice change from blue or black without going too crazy.

A lovely deep red surprisingly enough :)

I thought this would be water proof but it's not. The title does say watersoluble but the info panel says water proof so it's a little confusing.

Good ink for dip pen and brush very black. You can paint over in watercolour because of shellac finish when dry. Gets sticky when older. I like the vanished feel though. Dilutes nicely for ink washes

Used before. I like the gold colour.

Have used this ink before, it is very good but use in thin layers and allow to dry in between coats.

This is an amazing product. Just worth every penny. It is very metallic and fun to use. 10/10.

Black Indian Ink is the devil's bile. But sometimes you just have to suffer for your art. I've ruined more carpets with Indian ink than I can count. And quite a few drawings. Accept no substitutes because nothing else will do.

It's a bit thicker than other inks and more opaque.

Product exactly as expected - maybe a wee bit thinner than FW by Daler-Rowney, but good enough for my modest needs.
