Liquitex : Professional Heavy Body Acrylic Paint
From $8.12
Info
Heavy Body Artist Color, previously referred to as High Viscosity, has a thick consistency for traditional art techniques using brushes or knives, as well as for experimental, mixed media, collage and printmaking applications. Impasto applications retain crisp brush stroke and knife marks. Good surface drag provides excellent handling and blending characteristics with increased open-working time. High pigment load produces rich, brilliant, permanent color.
The low-odor acrylic resin base represents the latest in acrylic resin technology, offering increased open time and producing colors of great clarity with very low wet-to-dry value shift. The paint films are highly flexible, durable, non-yellowing, UV resistant, water-resistant and pH neutral when dry.

Good coverage, mixes well with the other colours I bought. Didn't change as it dries.

Don’t use much acrylic but packaging means this brand lasts without drying up.

Good product
Review
Love using this colour - earthy and strong
Review
Excellent, good paints with little colour shift
Review
The reason for 5 stars is because Liquitex paint is an excellent quality and for a professional artist like myself. That is important. I flit between Liquitex and Golden, depending upon colour availability. Liquitex paint gives a nice finish to the paintings that brands like Daler Rowney of Winsor and Newton don't.

Colour good, performance great.

Very vivid and strong colour. Mixes well with others to give a range of tones.
Review
Very good paint used for many years
Review
Excellent paint, now my regular paint. Lovely smooth buttery feel and best acrylic I’ve found for blending, with its slightly longer open time. Some of their colours are great straight out of the tube. Try Light Blue Violet, my go to colour for skies.
Review
A range I always use for its good thickness & this is an interesting versatile colour.

Everything arrived in good time and in excellent condition.
Review
A great quality paint!!!
Review
This is a great quality paint
Review
My favourite acrylic paint at present. It stays \"open\" a little longer than some makes, which is useful if you need to blend. Wet to dry colour shift is minimal.
Review
Excellent paints which come in a good variety of tubes sizes and colours.
Review
The Acrylic paint I buy from Jackson's is excellent value for money. I can't buy cheaper or better anywhere. I am very happy with this paint I purchased recently. Despatch is always very quick and everything is well packaged.

excellent coverage and depth of colour
Review
Cant blame the paint - just not the colour I thought it would be - not really vivid, more a dullish orange
Review
as it says bright silver, most silvers are a little too dark
Review
good
Review
It was ok,but again intensity of colour was different from Golden Acrylic.
Review
It was ok but the intensity of colour was not as good as Golden Acrylic.

Good price
Review
Really love this product. Used to use it for painting as it is lovely and thick and holds its texture like oil paint (without the smell). Recently using it for screen printing, it stays soft long enough to do the prints (on a multitude of surfaces) and clean the screen but dries waterproof. Absolutely brilliant!
Review
does what it says - very transparent
Review
Fab colour and texture and doesn't separate in time like Daler Rowney!
Review
The paint was not ideal for my trial. But the colour of the paint is very good.

Excellent quality paint!
Review
My favourite blue.
Review
This is a great alternative to pure white and more mellow as a mixing agent.
Review
I use this for underpainting to give texture as well as for finishing touches. It mixes well with other paints too. Sometimes I use it with as a base and add coloured inks which also works well.
Review
A really good quality acrylic with lovely consistency and rich colour that doesn't diminish when watered down.
Review
good for mixing and covers well on its own.
Review
The best quinacridone red I have found. It is not in any way orange. Only problem is that only available in small tubes
Review
Acrylic paint and art boards
Review
Decent covering power and body. Does the job perfectly adequately.
Review
Liquitex acrylics are brilliant to use and out shine their competitors as they are easier to mix, can be used straight out of the tube and don't dry out as much as their competitors. Will always use them.
Review
I am really delighted with my purchases and I love shopping at Jackson's. Shipping was very quick and I am very pleased with the items sent. Very reasonable prices too. I will continue to buy from Jackson's Art Supplies. Just one plea, any chance Jackson's Art Supplies will stock Matisse Heavy Body acrylic paint tubes in the near future? Thank you very much.

Does what it says on the tube!
Review
I'd never used Liquitex Heavy Body acrylics before, and so was keen to compare their Cobalt Blue Hue with W&N's pukka Cobalt Blue Artist's acrylic. The viscosity of both seems very similar as does their open time, and I've comfortably worked with both makes for around 30 minutes in a warmish room. One of the reasons I'd been using W&N is their lack of colour shift from wet to dry. I was pleasantly surprised to find Liquitex give them a good run for their money. To my eyes any colour/tonal shift was minimal. So how does Liquitex's 'hue' compare up to W&N's real thing? Extremely well. It was maybe very slightly warmer and a tad darker, but really very little in it. Given that this 'hue' version is substantially cheaper, a difference so slight is forgivable. Finally, the plastic tube makes dispensing the paint very easy - a small point maybe, but very welcome.Verdict? I'm a convert, and after comparable experiences over the past two months with other colours in their range I'm inclined to switch Liquitex.

Really good value for money and very quick efficient delivery service.
Review
Great service....always helpful
Review
Not excellent because the products ordered informed me they were in stock after 12 days non arrival I e-mailed Jacksons only to be told they were out of stock. You did redeem yourself by sourcing them through one of your shops and sending them on.
Review
Actually between good and poor. Took a week to deliver, no notification unless I "tracked", don't like using PayPal. For these reasons, am off back to Ken Bromley.
Review
Good website, very efficient and excellent service.
