Jackson's : Raven : Synthetic Mop Brushes : Series 528

As per other reviews, this is a lovely brush for watercolour even at full price. A steal if you can get one at the special discounted price... recommended!

I love this brush! The Synthetic Squirrel Hair is as good as real hair, and even though I'm not vegan, I definitely prefere a cruelty-free brush!

I really like this brush, I feel no need for other brush as I use mix media and this brush is perfect for washes, also the point is excellent so no complaints there; but if you want a fine line I recommend the 10/0 quill Icon

I thought I would try this as I have several smaller Raven brushes and have been pleased with those. This holds plenty of colour, points well and has more spring than pure squirrel mops. Lovely for big washes. I find pure squirrel hair too soft and floppy for my taste, so this suits me well.

The Raven brushes are great to work with, hold a lot of water and release it gradually so you can paint on and on.

Very useful pointed mop, I have three different sizes now and they do not disappoint.

Painted 5 completed pieces and some studies with this brush. Amazing paint holding capabilities. Just a little bit stiffer than my previous pure squirrel brushes, but a joy to use nonetheless. Half imperial is the minimum size for this brush, although i think it does better on full sheets.

Delighted with this brush. Fine tip, holds lots of water and just a pleasure to use. I can see more sizes in my future.

I'm struggling to use this brush, beautiful brush but much bigger with a huge paint holding capacity than I expected. Maybe I need to start working on full imperial

Great mop brush performs as well as any squirrel brush. Retains large amount of paint, great for washes but still has a fine tip for detail.

Lovely brush, amazing for price. Hard to tell it's not squirrel, just a mite stiffer. Wonderful point and hold loads of paint. I love it!

Really good brush, if I didn't know i would've thought it's squirrel. Very thin end helps with small details, while thick core of this brush can hold large amount of water. I've got number 0 and its ideal for A4-A5 formats. Will purchase it again in different sizes.

Brilliant brush hard to see what is different about it to squirrels except the price.

very nice brush, to be used with gouache, hoping it will be a little tougher than squirrel, for that reason.

I brought those bushes to go on holiday to Scotland because to me they were the wright Price l seem too loose brushes on a regular base's and l did not have to worry if l did. Well what can l say these brushes are great they come to a lovely point they disrupt the water in a lovely way better then some of the more expensive brushes l have they well made for the Price . So l hope l don't loose them..l strongly recommend them they are great to use l shell be buying more. Fast delivery from Jackson's great service.

Absolutely love this brush! This is so different to standard faux-sable synthetic brushes. The bristles are soft but still hold a point, and the body holds a huge amount of water. I also have the Jackson's Icon quill in 10/0 (which I didn't realise was a natural/synthetic mix, so I'm not a bit miffed about that) and this Raven brush holds far more water and produces much better results. Definitely recommend!

My favorite brush. Holds a fine point for thin lines, but can also be used with more pressure or on the side for nice broad lines. I wish it came as a travel brush too! :D

These brushes are fantastic. They are pretty much impossible to tell apart from the finest quality squirrel mops on the market. The hold a ton of water and always reform to a spectacular point.

This brush is the largest in the Raven series. Excellent for watercolour and at a price any artist can afford. I now have the full set and am really pleased with all the brushes. I have been painting with Derwent inktense which and finding them them the ideal brush. My first attempt was to paint some Mars landscapes from NASA photos which inspired me on Youtube. Inktense is a new medium to me and the brushes served me well.

I have been using this brush since ordering it. I bought it two days before a half price sale. I was so pleased that I bought the rest of the series and am well pleased in using them in watercolour and with Inktense pencils and blocks. The are ideal for Inktense as they lick up the colour well from the blocks and and make good washes of colour. This 000 size was good for detail. The only advice I would offer is to was them out thoroughly after using them with Derwents Inktense. love it for watercolour

I used these brushes as soon as they arrived they are very good quality they hold plenty of paint and have a nice point, just wonderful for watercolour
