Schmincke Soft Pastels contain
only the finest artists' grade pigments in highest concentration using a minimum
of binders. The palette is intensively powerful in color and preserves the best
characteristic effect of the pigments. The pigments are carefully ground on
extra-hard stone mills, which is very similar to grinding by hand. In a costly
traditional method, the sticks are formed and hand-labeled. The complete range
of Schmincke pastels is extremely soft and buttery in texture. This facilitates
work on all pastel papers and pastel techniques.
Pastels are 1/2" diameter and
2 1/2" in length. Comfortable to hold.
